The SNP are letting down Glasgow’s East End by failing to provide the
training and skills people need in the area.

Earlier this year the SNP scrapped most adult modern apprenticeships and
despite the desperate need for skills and training, they are failing to
address the issue.

Labour’s David Cairns MP said: “Skills are Scotland’s future. Currently an extra 150,000
apprenticeships  are being created in the rest of the UK. By contrast, in
Scotland and here in Glasgow East, the SNP are neglecting modern
apprenticeships.That’s a disgrace.

To continue the regeneration of Glasgow’s East End – local people,
especially young people, need the skills that apprenticeships and
vocational training provide to enable them to seize the job opportunities
that are being created.

Sadly the SNP are more interested in their narrow agenda of breaking up
Britain to care about whether Scotland and Glasgow’s East End are being
left behind.”
